GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) has been used for many years to reduce chlorine, taste and odour from drinking water due to its ability to absorb these components.

This Filter also incorporates KDF 55 Media designed specifically for removing or reducing chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals. It controls a small amount of scale, bacteria and algae. The process medium received NSF International Certification and is certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 42

We don't recommend these filters be used on acidic water as it could react with the KDF Media in this filter.
